Story about the Construction
The project commenced with a high-quality (Chris Craft) hand-laid fiberglass hull and the hiring of an experienced boat builder from Florida to serve as the on-site project manager. Shortly thereafter, he gathered representatives from the high-end aviation industry to select numerous exterior and interior design elements from the yachting industry’s mega-yacht publications.
The team then selected the specific elements to be incorporated in the design, retaining the goal of constructing a mini-yacht, incorporating most of the features and amenities of significantly larger high-end yachts. Graphic designers and architects were utilized to translate these custom ideas into renderings and drawings.
Over the ensuing years, David and his team hand-built the C&A 51’ Signature Series “Dream Catcher” yacht, incorporating creative and innovative design, performed by a resource pool of talented artisans, with an overall commitment to quality. Highly researched marine and aviation suppliers were selected to provide the latest in electronics, custom interior furnishings, table mechanisms, windows, lighting, sound systems and custom amenities of numerous types, finishes and styles.
This yacht is constructed of the highest quality hand-selected materials, including hand-laid fiberglass, decks comprised of marine grade plywood and divinyl (and other strong and lightweight composites), incorporating stainless steel structural supports.
It is outfitted with extensive hand-crafted custom cabinetry, mahogany, and the use of numerous exotic woods, Interior flooring is Texas mesquite and other hardwoods and the exterior deck flooring is covered in synthetic teak.
The interior is stocked with the newest fine (aviation) leathers, fabrics and textile trends, granite, marble, modern lighting, plus the latest in helm management technology, combined with an endless array of ideas resulting in a one of a kind private yacht, striking the perfect balance between form, function, durability and ease of maintenance.
After many years of dedicated hard work, the completion of this memorable and comfortable yacht fully meets its original design objective (a high-end mini mega yacht) and is truly a passionate act of creation, an extraordinary floating work of art.
