SUMMER SONG was built at the Derecktor Yard in NY under the supervision of Mr. Robert Derecktor. She is a comfortable ride, quiet and fast. She underwent a stem-to-stern refit in 2007 at a cost of over $4 million at Bradford Marine in FL. All records relating to this are on board. She is equipped with numerous redundant systems to ensure continued enjoyment. Currently cruising the Chesapeake Bay with winters in the Carolinas. During the refit, most of the major systems were also replaced. Accommodations
There are three access points onto the vessel, port and starboard midship, or the aft via the cockpit.
Upon entry you enter the comfortable upper salon and well appointed and functional pilot house. To the right of the helm and down a few steps is the opulent lower salon with couch and chairs to starboard, single chair to port. Moving forward you enter the port dinette and starboard galley. Further forward are additional guest/crew quarters with over/under berths and ensuite head with stand-up shower and hanging closet. Multiple storage drawers for clothing and extra bedding.
Aft of the lower salon there is a twin guest cabin to port with hanging closet and eight drawers under the berths. To starboard, across the companionway is the guest / day head with stand-up shower.
Heading further aft is the master stateroom with queen centerline berth, his/her hanging closets and numerous dresser drawers around the perimeter and under the berth. This cabin also has an ensuite head with shower.
The Engine Room is easily accessed from aft of the galley and down 3 steps. All systems are well maintained and readily accessible.
